FIFA World Cup 2018: Full list of prize winners

World Cup is finally over and it was one of the most thrilling and surprising world cups in the history. So many great players in this tournament and we also saw some great performances and fixtures.

Let’s have a look at the awards that were given to the players.

Golden Boot Award

England’s captain and Spurs star Harry Kane was awarded Golden Boot as he scored a total of 6 goals in the world cup matches. He scored these goals in the early matches of the world cup. His last three matches were a little quite by the way. Some say that he was suffering from a small injury and he could not finish the chances he was given in those matches. Anyhow he was the highest scoring player of the tournament.

Silver Boot Award

Antoine Griezmann (France)

Griezmann was awarded the second medal in Golden Boot as he was the second and he scored a total of 4 goals in the world cup. The 3 goals came off of the penalties.

Bronze Boot Award

Romelu Lukaku (Belgium)

Bronze Boot was given to Romelu Lukaku of Belgium as he scored four goals and he did not score a single goal on a penalty. He had level goals with Griezmann but Griezmann had more assists than him so he took the 2nd position.

Best Player of the Tournament

Luka Modric was given the best player of the tournament award and he had the golden ball. His skills in the midfield were exceptional, he was controlling the games from that position and consistently creating chances for his teammates. He was the captain and backbone of the Runner-up team in the World Cup 2018.

Silver Ball: Eden Hazard (Belgium)

Eden Hazard was great with the ball in this tournament, he also scored 3 goals and made assists too.

Bronze Ball: Antoine Griezmann (France)
